I have a 2000 S10 4x4 with the 4.3L manual 5 sp. I'm looking to up grade to a complete 5.3 or 6.0. This truck is a daily driver. I don't want to give up any of the accessories to make this swap work. I still want my A/C, cruise lights, wipers, dash gauges, ect.
My questions are -should the new engine originally be for a stick since I currently have a stick? How does the wiring harness work, is the engine/ECU harness separate from the cruise, lighting, wiper harness or do they intermingle? Do you have to rip all wiring out and use the donor harness?
