Re: HID Headlights?

All I did when I put HID's in my 76 cutlass was order the glass housing from advance auto and then get a H7 HID kit (i think it was h7).

Re: 9" Build or Buy?

I've always figured if I got to the point of a rear end, I would just buy a pre-fabbed 9" housing and piece it together. Maybe even do it over a course of a couple months if need be. By the time you get a junkyard one and maybe have to replace everything anyway, and all the labor, I personally would...

Re: electric fuel pump regulator ???

I had that regulator and pump. I ditched the regulator after I couldn't get the #### thing to run at 6 psi. it would be around 12 and 9 no matter what way i turned it. Kept flooding my motor. Might have just been a faulty one but I went out and got a better one for 30 bucks.

Re: 7.5 REAR

I would go with it if you are getting it for a steal, and if it breaks just get another one for cheap. I wouldn't toss money in one like everyone else is saying. My cousin has a mild 350, broke one 7.5 and ended up finding one for free, swapped it in and kept driving.

Re: Dry transmission

To be honest, I don't remember how I put the torque converter on. I kind of just popped the old one off and slapped on the new one. I have a gallon of fluid in the pan right now. I also haven't had the motor run too long because I need to get the fuel pressure and timing corrected a little better.

Dry transmission

I took my transmission off my motor when I pulled it from my old cutlass. I tossed the converter and put on a B&M holeshot my friend had lying around. He had used it before for a few miless so there might have been some fluid in it but I don't remember and didn't add any to it. I filled the pan up o...

Caliper Position Help

Really dumb question that I can't seem to find the answer on. Does the brake hose mount to the top of the caliper or the bottom of the caliper? I had them mounted so the hose would go to the top but it didnt seem like it wanted to fit very well. I swapped sides so the hose goes to the bottom of the ...

Re: Help with Pontiac Tach wiring...

Its a factory gauge cluster from a LeMans or Grand Prix with the tach and spedometer instead of the clock and spedometer. I'll try and post up a pic later tonight. Computer crapped out on me so I'm not on much.

Help with Pontiac Tach wiring...

I have a tach/speedo assembly but the back of the tach has a switch to change from v8-v6. Mine is broken off and doesn't specify what way is what. Does anyone know if left is v8 or right is v8? I can toss up a picture later to help show what Im talking about. thanks.

I would stick with the turbo. Drive it nice and easy and you wont be gobbling gas. But let the turbos kick and and have fun when you want 8)

For future reference for people who search for this. The answer is yes. Just plug it in, and install the correct sending units.

Re: What speedometer gear/housing?

Thanks a lot! I wasn't sure why I could only find listings for th400 but it makes sense now. I'm going to just pull one from an olds at the junkyard and hope the teeth work with what I have.

What speedometer gear/housing?

I for some reason lost the spedometer housing and gear from my transmission out of a 76 Cutlass. Its a th350 and has one that looks like this: http://image.corvettefever.com/f/8646212+w750+st0/p67577_image_large.jpg I'm not sure how to figure out what gear I need though. I noticed there's a differen...
