Deffinently get an ABS healiner already covered. WAy easier to install.- you can bend it without fear of cracking!

Re: 1/4 mile results....chinese turbo.

Great times!!! Makes me wanna go turbo with mine instead of the hair dryer. I have the same problem with running out of gear on the big end though. my stock cam ls1 and 3800 stall doesn't really pull past 5,3-500. Plus when I cross the line I'm real close the redline. This is with a 400, 3.50 gears ...

Re: Bad gas mileage LS swap

UPDATE: I actually ran across a great deal on gearvendors unit on this site...so I picked it up. Still haven't installed it. Lately I've been noticing the car running rougher than usual. It'll be more hesitant to start, have some flat spots in the 2-3500rpm range, and stall when rapidly decelerating...

Re: Bad gas mileage LS swap

I'll probly go t56 or 4l80e...I feel t56 would yield the best mileage and probly be more street fun...but also have a funny feeling that I'd end up doing alot of clutches! 480hp and not so friendly driving habits! You guys think a tune would help that much? How much power gain would be expected? 10-...

Re: Bad gas mileage LS swap

I was originally building a bad@ss daily driver. Expecting around 10 city 18 hwy when it was all said and done. I was kinda pressured into the th400 trans and many times have regretted it. I actually have ALL the pieces to swap a 4l80e in including a stock 4l80e trans...just dont wanna tear it apart...

Bad gas mileage LS swap

Never really cared much about it before, but now that I have my speedo hooked up and calibrated and can calculate my mileage its looking terrible at best. I haven't been able to get above 10mpg usually 6-8 with fun throttle input. All the tanks calculated have been stop and go suburban driving (smal...

Ford 9" axle leak problem! HELP

Ever since I installed my QP housing I've been having a small leak from the axle bearing seals. When I sent them my axles to have them cut down (by QP)they installed new bearings that were "correct" for my application. These bearings have no rubber seals on them (like my friends 9" does in his maro)...
