Re: HARWOOD HOODS RUN AWAY

yeah.. that inner fender question is a good one.... i've got a harwood cowl on my bu, I think mine was one of the very first run of them as I got it back in winter of 1992. My only complaints are that it wasn't finished underneat which is not a big deal at all, and the front corners wing up at high ...

yeah, that bracket that bolts with the 3 screws.. if you double them up, weld them together, and put in longer bolts/screws, it holds up alot better.. I snapped on with a stiff clutch.. spherical ends sound good too! maybe you should contact the clutch company and ask how stiff it should be?

Hey Jeff.. how stiff is that pedel? I know you've had your stick shift bu for some time, but if the pedel is too stiff, it'll weaken that frame bracket and eventually snap it. I found that if you get a second one, and weld the two together it's alot stronger, and you'll only have to watch the holes ...

I do have a question for Mike Forte here, and hopefully not break any rules.. Since Kiesler stopped production of the adaptors to move the shifter location over close to the factory G body location, i've having a dilema. Mike's been in contact with me, but now that Meat Drapes posted the pic for me ...

A bad bearing would cause vibration at idle in gear, or neutral, but once you engage it, it should clear right up. if you get a chance, could you get a pic of the tranny by itself (top view) so I can see which shifter location on the tranny you used? I recently contacted a guy and he said that the o...

All in all, there are some NO-NOs that I can recall now that the tranny is in. Not checking the run-out was a bad idea. And I still have not adjusted the driveline angle to the ideal angles. Its all irrelevant now as I have begun teardown of the new 454. The header issue for Big Block Malibus is so...

which bellhousing are you currently using on your small block? If your using the lakewood, your fine.. if your running the stock G body 606 bellhousing, you'll either have to find a 153 tooth flywheel, or upgrade to the lakewood bell. I've been following your buildup too as my malibu is a factory 4 ...

I've heard bits and pieces of that setup... the crossmember is a new one, hadn't heard that one before... But, I was told that it would fit the factory location? if that's not the case, I really don't want to hack up my factory 4 speed floor... please keep us posted.. I was looking into doing this s...
