So I have an 82 el camino with a 350/4 speed swap. It has a saginaw with the low first gear (3 rings on input shaft). The cars suspension setup is this. v6 springs and stock replacement shocks up front, monte ss springs new air shocks and I have a monte ss rear sway bar but its not on the car curren...

I got my 4 speed parts from the parts place in Elburn.. At first I had some weird issues like you describe, they gave me the clutch rod (from pedal to z-bar) from an A body chevelle, After returning, they found the right piece. Well i got it all together i welded a steel plate with several holes onto my z bar. The way i did it the geometry should be pretty close to the same for the lingkages the clutch seems to work right. Sorry but im having a hard time posting pics from my phone but thanks for the help.

Is it possible to get a shorter lower pushrod thats about 2 inches long. I lookedon summit and jegs and didnt see anything

I have the pedals, zbar, and fork new aftermarket for a gbody i believe there from the parts place inc and a the gbody bellhousing. The linkage that goes from the zbar to the for seems way to long and the only way to get it in is to have the pedal at the bottom of the dash. Anyone have any tips to help me out. I might try adding some holes to my z bar to bring the pedal down. But i might have something installed wrong

when my el camino still had the chevy 3.8 I got 21mpg's on on the highway going 55. It had a rebuilt 229 with all the emissions equipment removed, a th350 and I'm pretty sure 2.73 gears

I used to have a dualjet on my v6. It had the d shape air cleaner opening. the stock filter was about 9 7/8 inches diameter. If you cut out the air cleaner bottom around the air filter base you can run whatever 10 inch chrome top you want. It looks like the open element filters you buy. http://i1162...
