Re: turn signal issues

The hazards and blinkers are on different circuits.

Check for a blown turn signal fuse.
If the turn signal fuse is good, check for defective turn signal flasher.
If the turn signal flasher is good, check the connector at the steering column.

The problem is most likely the fuse or the flasher.

I don't do Facebook, so I guess I lose?

I haven't been here for some time; I just popped in to take a look.

Re: T-5 swap - driveshaft length

If the upper control arm brackets are at the wrong angle, I wonder if a D-shaped control arm could be fabricated, so that the curve of the D could allow the arm to connect to the brackets squarely.

It would be interesting if the lower arm brackets were already in the correct location.

Re: T-5 swap - driveshaft length

When you use that 8.5-inch rear, your driveshaft will need to be shortened another inch.

What year B body is the rear from?

How much wider is it than the 1978 rear?

Re: 7.5 posi

The Auburn diff in the 7.5 is a disposable unit; it can't be rebuilt like the Eaton style. There is a break-away torque spec to test the Auburn differential. With both rear wheels raised and the transmission in Park, the break-away torque spec is 125-225 ft.lbs. If not within spec, the differential ...

Re: Abody rear?

If you measure a stock car, you will find the rear is not necessarily centered either. How much difference are you seeing?

Re: Blazer brake upgrade with manual brakes.

The upper hole is for manual brakes; the lower hole is for power brakes. Though all pedals have both holes, the pin is only in 1 hole. A manual brake car uses a small brake pedal pad, just like a manual transmission car. The factory pin for power brakes is a different diameter than for power brakes....

They will feel even better if you use the upper hole.

Are the tops of the springs seated properly? or are they sitting on the edge of the center cup?

You need a Pitman arm from a Malibu with 605 power steering box.

It sounds like the geometry is wrong, such as the wrong Pitman arm.

Re: BROKEN OFF 700R4 BELLHOUSING? ???'S

That sucks, and I am sorry to hear it happened. Your description indicates something is not right. What type of motor mounts are you using? What type of transmission mount are you using? The transmission mount should not be stiffer than the motor mounts. Did you measure the driveshaft between joint ...
