Re: Console?

What about using something like this one. I had gotten it out of a newer 05 or 06 Monte Carlo. I was mocking it up to use with my Quarter stick but never finished it (ended up selling it). Anyway I think it has alot of room for a stick shift to work in. Plus, you get cup holders and accessory outlet...

Re: Aftermarket console with aftermarket shifter?

This one bolted right in. I was able to use my shifter cable from my B&M Megashifter that I had in it before. This is for a 4 speed but I modded it for my 3 speed. I can still make it a 4 speed just by taking out the set screw. The only thing I had to do was flatten the top of the tunnel in the back...

Re: Aftermarket console with aftermarket shifter?

Well, I know you got one but here is an aftermarket one with the factory 4 speed shifter. It's out of a 2001 Grand Prix if I remember correctly. Re: Aftermarket console with aftermarket shifter?

I like that hump hugger. I wish I would have seen them along time ago. Might not been around when I did my Grand Prix console. I love my console though as it has accessory outlets in it as well. It does look like it belongs in there and it matches the inside pretty well, and you didn't have to drill...

Re: Wires with plugs, where do they go?

It sounds more like the wire that plugs into the cruise control or maybe the under hood light.

Re: front bar

Nothing for weight but does help in weight transfer and front end rise. I noticed a big difference in front end rise and weight transfer when I remove the end links at the track. Just be careful at the end when turning, it will lean pretty hard.

Yes, I left the S-10 pitman arm on mine when I installed it in my Monte.

Re: gbody 7.5 rear end can it take power

Hmm, ten years on running my 7.5 through the gears at the track. Best 60ft was a 1.52 lifting both tires off the line. I am running 28x12.5x15 Mickey Street E.T's with 16psi. I constantly dip into the 11.90's with it. I know a few running them and haven't grenaded them yet. I have stock axels and on...

Rear Mounted Battery Set up Help

For any of you guys that have your battery in the trunk and it is legal for IHRA and NHRA how did you mount it to the frame per the rules? I need some pics of it please. I just got the Taylor battery kit and need some pics and info on how you mounted it to the rear frame rails to be legal. :-k

Re: crossmember help

Or if you want something that is factory you can locate a double hump crossmember out of a Chevelle. I got mine out of a 69 Chevelle and then just modified the ends to work in my Monte. It looks completely factory and if you didn't know any better it looks like it was made for it. And will work perf...
