If you have the funds, change those bushes out to mono ball swivels - they really make the rear axle float and get rid of any binding....

    New to Nitrous

Very little goes wrong on a plate nitrous kit.....plungers in the solenoids wear and that's about it......I wouldn't waste money on a brand new kit if I could find a used one and restore it with the easily (and cheaply) available parts. As far as fuel quality and plugs are concerned, you need...

    New to Nitrous

First thing to do is find out where you can fill bottles locally and at what cost. Second would be to trawl facebook and craigslist for a used kit. Third thing to do is buy rebuild kits for the solenoids (yes they are a simple fix). 4th will be to baseline your 383's best performance without...

if you mean fiberglass instead of "plastic"....then there's plenty out there....Harwood make a nice one, plastic - I don't know of any....

    Transmission pan bolts tightening

make sure the TV cable is adjusted correctly if this is a new install......pretty critical in any 200-4R and 700R4 installations......google and youtube will show you how....

^ might want to try that with the brakes installed first.....remember all that adjustability is so you can quickly change things at the track etc.....if its a pain to do and takes three people to remove a bolt, then things get tricky....

^ wasn't talking about the adjustability.....more that the shock bracket might interfere with being able to remove the bolt from the lower control arm bracket....

Is there a way to strain slightly used transmission fluid?

if it doesn't have lumps, chunks, shiny metal, or anything else that might contaminate, then feed it back in through a funnel......if you're paranoid get yourself a paint strainer or something like that and pour through that.....make sure the engine is running for most of the pour or it will...

good thinking on the adjustable shock mounts.....if it were me, I'd be moving them as far outboard as possible for more stability on the street.....

    Transmission pan bolts tightening

yes that's fine, just don't make a mess of sliding it too far.....sure you can't get a spanner in there?

    Transmission pan bolts tightening

same procedure applies....keep nipping those pan bolts and the leaks will go away (unless the gasket is already damaged).....

    Transmission pan bolts tightening

its going to be a trial and error process for you.....I generally criss/cross my way around a number of times when first putting the pan on. Do not crush the cork gasket around each bolt or it will leak. Snug the gasket uniformly all the way round. After you have driven it, get back under there...

    body parts

Here's a link to the El Camino patch panels......do yourself a favor and sniff around the internet cos these ones are over-priced.....I'm just showing you they exist in this auction link.....do realize these are longer than needed for the Malibu, but they do fit, your panelbeater will cut them...
