There was a guy who put a 10'' tire 3700 lb 69 chevelle in the 10.30-10.40 range with this cam, ported heads, ang rpm air gap intake. Comp list this power band of this cam at 2500-6500 rpm's. My experience has been that powerbands on cams are usually good for 2-400 rpm over avertised rpm range.

I see,, however the 454 r is a rectangular port intake. He has 781 oval port heads. I have seen people mismatch between intake and cylinder port design. Howeve are there any drawbacks to this??
