Needs sfi dated 2020(dot rated). Will be good until 2032. Ck with summit racing or company of your choice. Wouldn't buy anything safety related off ebay unless being sold by major helmet manufacturer.
Time and money has caused it to take almost 4 yrs to get the replacement car for the Cutlass done. 87 Monte Carlo SS Aero Coupe. Hit the bars on the hit and spun the tires most of the 1/8th mile. Went 6.04/110 Click on the youtube link for video. Too large to post here...
Bought a set to do the same thing. Got them home and compared them and they are a good bit heavier the stock. I am going to early Camaro brakes. Good setup if wanting larger than stock brakes.
Thanks for the input. Thought about putting ck valves in. Had some in a friends car but with the master in the stock location the brakes dragged enough to make it harder to turn the wheel than I liked when off the ground. took them out. Have braided hoses for the lines. Maybe a larger master...
Installed the front blazer spindles with the 2 piston calipers. Also installed the rear disc of a 97 olds bravado(mad my own caliper brackets). Rear is a 12 bolt Chevelle Have changed the prop valve to a 4WD valve. 7/8 bore g body master cylinder. System doesn't seem to flow enough fluid...
Has anybody drill rotors to install 1/2 in press in studs? Reason for doing it is lug nuts I want to use seem to be available only in packs of 20. Have 1/2 in rear end.
Pushrod moved to top hole. information acquired by the replies has been really helpful in addition to reading Dave.s posts on the subject. Special thanks to Dave for taking the time to help with this. Will be rebuilding the calipers and see where it goes.
Has factory Prop valve. Rear brakes adjusted out. No air in system. Original brake lines(are getting replaced). No brakes on 1st pump/better on 2nd/ firm pedal on 3rd. Good call on the organic pads. Will switch to them after getting this figured out. Good that you mentioned the pedal travel...
Thanks for the replies. I read most of your posts on this subject(David) and I think I might have another reason for the excess pedal travel. When you mentioned the rear brakes I realized that the rear brakes are now drum brakes from a 92 ford Explorer(9in rear). Further research revealed that...
Working on a 83 Cutlass that I am converting to manual brakes. Have the master cyl setup off a manual brake s10. Using a 7/8 bore master from a 79 Gbody. Pedal travel is too much and I am assuming the front calipers have too much travel for the Master(assuming they are of the low drag design)...
Pro systems has a good write up on 2 vs 3 circuit carbs. Started with a 3 circuit gas carb on my car and went to a 2 circuit sv1 alky carb and did not tell much if any difference on the brake.

Currently have one of your R&P steering setups in my car. Will it work with this frame. Tie rods look longer due to the angle they run out of the center.
Thanks
