    Carb help

What seems to be the trouble? The current "pump gas" is not carburetor friendly at all unless you drive it daily, and you will still have gasket and pump issues. 9 times out of ten it is the deposits/damage left by E-10 that is the source of yor troubles.

    need n2o advice

You need "running" fuel pressure with a kit. Most mechanical pumps have enough volume, but not always enough pressure. Spend $ and save some tuning headaches. Put a fuel pressure gauge in/on your car. Even on motor, you may be suprised at what the gauge tells you. A blue pump, installed as per...

Build my stock 79 10 bolt or buy or buy a built one?

Only "downside" if you will to buying a 8-1/2 is that they are usually pretty beat up by the time you finally get one. Of the two that I have purchased, both needed some work before I was satisfied with their condition. Some things to consider: They are at least 28 years old. Most have been...

    SBC ENGINE ID NUMBERS ???'S

Those unfortunately aren't going to answer your question. On the passenger side, up in front of the head is a pad which is stamped with some letters and numbers. (V0508CWA for example) The last three will get you what you want to know. If, and it is a sketchy if, the original intake is still on...

    SBC ENGINE ID NUMBERS ???'S

Where is the "379" located on the block? Some blocks have digits cast into them that I have no clue what they represent. The numbers on the back drivers side are faint some times, but if you wire brush the block HARD they sometimes clean up enough to read. In all fairness, just the last three...

    SBC ENGINE ID NUMBERS ???'S

The casting numbers (the ones in the back) will give you when it was made(date code) and the displacement. Some blocks were used for several different products so the stamped numbers on the front pad tell much more information.

MAX CAM LIFT FOR STOCK SBC 305 ENGINE???'S

I doubt you can put a cam with too much lift in it and heres why: The stock valve springs will limit the usable rpm to prolly under 5000 rpm. So a cam with a powerband above that is wasted. Try any of the .440 to .510 (or there abouts) lift cams which are usually the RV style, 1200-4500 rpm...

Vehicles that might have come with the aluminum core support

Re: Vehicles that might have come with the aluminum core sup Okay. I found the "tech" page with the pictures I was thinking of here; https://maliburacing.com/aluminum-core-support/ Still don't know where I saw the rest though.

Vehicles that might have come with the aluminum core support

I have hunted because I was sure there was a thread/post with a list of potential donor vehicles. If it existed, I cannot find it. It had pictures of the identifying marks and other helpful information. Can someone repost or link it? Thanks.

    turbo 350

If and that's a subjective "if" it was serviceable item, someone has parts for it. Two of the better online parts houses I have found are: http://www.bulkpart.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=SFNT&Store_Code=2 and https://www.wittrans.com/default.aspx They both have tech lines, staffed by some...

    lil help. 275 60 15 white stripe

I was discussing this with a friend a while back, and he mentioned using the same paint that is used on swimming pool liners to add "white walls" to pretty much any tire. I never did persue it, so I cannot assist in where to find it.

    Worst Wiring Mess Ever

The wiring harness usually splits at the back of the fuse block. The engine and charging stuff goes up, runs across the top of the firewall, then forward. (IIRC) The headlights etc run forward on the drivers side to the radiator support and then across. What exactly are you attempting to revive?

First time on spray I had to lift @ 1000'

Nice. R's stayed about where you thought through the traps? My Regal got stolen over the summer (with a full bottle in it) so I'm back to collecting parts to build something.

    200 4r trans rebuild

Chris is sort of a "one guy shop" so he is really busy. I have gone there to pick up parts and it was a good while until I was actually able to see him. Be patient, it will be worth your while.

Lucas...."The prince of darkness" was what the Triumph and BSA motorcycle guys used to say. Definetly different thinking with regards to how to do it.

    Worst Wiring Mess Ever

Shoot, I'm one town away. I can stop by one evening if you like. And for those of you lucky enough to live by "you pull it yards", the nearest one for us "Lawnguylanders" is in Pennsylvania. Not handy.

    two stage system

I ran a 100 shot on a plate and took no timing out either. Plugs told me I could add timing, but did not because of my cast pistons. I was getting ready to add some more when my car got stolen, so I cannot really help any further.

    steel wheels vs aluminum weight.

Factory aluminum wheels are not very light. I can say for sure that a factory steel wheel with a radial tire on it weighs every bit of 50 lbs.(or more) My set of 15 X 3.5 draglites with a 165 80 R 15 tire on them weigh 28 lbs each. I had a 275 60 15 drag radials on mcss stock aluminum wheels and...
