Thanks for the reply. The couple of small chips i have are from installing the window sweeps and side stainless. I couldnt use tape on these spots sadly. I have base left but I figured i would need to dab some clear on it. I wish photo bucket would let me post pics not sure what's up with their...
I had my chevelle painted last winter. Ive been slowly working at putting it together. Im really careful but still have a couple minor chips from installing window felts and other parts.... are these paint pens with clear coat on the ends a ok deal? What do you all use?
Well I've put maybe 100 miles on my motor it wasn't an overhaul just heads. Cam etc...I drove it 40 miles to the headliner shop and when I picked it up i no iced a tick tjat o figured was an exhaust leak...well a few miles later ir got louder...so I stopped and took it back until I can haul it...
I'm going to check the side of the trans where I was manually shifting. If I rememeber rigjt I can loosen it there and maybe it slipped there and needs to be set back in place? Just a thought
Pulled a bone head move when I took motor and trans out. I left the linkage hooked up where It drops down through the floor on my 64 chevelle....when I reinstalled it I had to use a pry Bar to get it to hook back up (trans linkage )... I went to drive it and it shifted hard had to play with it...

Thats the one i was set one. I was looking at a kit...new timing set...cam. lifters . Springs..valve seals...etc 405 bucks for it. All do you think that will have a nice lump to it...with some flowmasters or dynomax mufflers

Picked up a bone stock 402 low mileage....Im considering maybe upgrading the cam to give it a lot more performance and a nice lumpy tone....this car will be a 100% driver...I'd like to keep the stock quadrajet for now....building on a budget...any tips or info or should I leave it alone and drop...
Im looking to get my 66 painted around september or so....which would have it back to me by december or november...i dont have a heated shop and it gets pretty cold in iowa, will this be an issue with fresh body work and paint? Any tips would be great
