Suggestions on how to install the hood pop-up spring?

There are 3 small clips that will hold the spring in place, I just can't seem to get the spring underneath all 3 of them. Obviously, it will be a really tight fit. It seems that it is going to take a lot of force to put in. I just had the hood painted and looking to get it in with minimal...

New Products! Front A-arm kit and front sway bar

Thanks guys for answering! I don't think the folks at UMI can or will address this question. I'm not planning on any hardcore racing with this car, but if the tubular control arms offered a significant improvement in handling over the stock ones, then I would consider spending that much money...

    Centerline Lazer Wheels

Does anyone have these wheels (pic below) on their Malibu? If so, would you be kind enough to post some pictures of them? If I decide on these wheels, I'll probably go with 17x8 all the way around. If not, the Eagle Alloy Series 211 will be my next choice. They seem to be the most popular...

New Products! Front A-arm kit and front sway bar

Brad, I follow you about lowering, quality shocks, poly bushings and sway bars regarding handling, but I don't see how aftermarket upper and lower control arms will help with handling. How I understand this is the only advantages with these control arms is weight savings. Thanks Everette

New Products! Front A-arm kit and front sway bar

So that I understand what you are saying here is, if one is looking for improved cornering we don't need the upper and lower control arms to obtain this, all we need to do is to upgrade to polyurethane bushings along with sway bars? Thanks Everette

Best way to remove weatherstrip from window retainers?

Ok, which do most of you prefer and why, a fiberglass or urethane chin spoiler? They are about the same price. I'm in the process of getting the Malibu ready for paint and thought this would be the perfect time to get one of these. Thanks Everette

    3-4" steel cowl scoop

Good question! I've been thinking about a cowl hood myself and failed to think about a steel cowl scoop. I've been told that the fiberglass scoops don't work so well with steel hoods. bukweet, i couldn't get that link to work. I tried going directly to Goodmark's website and I didn't see a...

    17x8 backspacing etc.?

I have a '78 Malibu and thinking about putting 17x8 wheels with 245/45/17 tires all the way around per Norm Peterson's recommendation. From the research I've done, it seems that you guys with this combination have a backspacing from 4.5" to 5". In order to get my new springs and shocks, I was...
