A 3310 is a great all around carb, especially with an automatic or in a heavy car. My favorite carb in terms of ease of setup. I had one on my LS6 454 the last time it was on the road.
I saw Scott and his wagon today at a Cars & Croissants. His body and paint is done, he just got done putting BIG Corvette brakes on the front and is starting to gear up for more upgrades over the winter. He keeps busting my chops to get Madge done, and I keep telling him it's hard to do much...
Well, I fired up my old computer that has the GM Parts Catalog on it and the program won't run. I tried reinstalling it several times and it just won't open. I'll have to have my cousin look at it. He knows a lot more about computers than I do.

I didn't really do anything "to" the Malibu, I got a delivery today of correct NOS wheel well trim screws and labelled the package and put it with the rest of my "for later" parts.

I have both my OEM 1980 that came on my car and another that I got from a member a long time ago that is probably about 3 or 4" wider. IIRC, he said it came from a Pontiac or Olds. The next time I look through my illustrated parts books, I'll see if I can find out part numbers to see if I find...
Doober, Madge is still a "Driveway Eliminator". Things have been slim for us. I lost my job a year ago last June, then lost the new job last July. Normally I do a Holiday Club with my bank and it's my total car budget for the year, but this year it might just go to pay bills.

This thread prompted me to do a little research, so I broke out my GM Illustrated Parts Catalogs, started digging and running part numbers online. AFAIK, all SBC and BBC have the same thermostat hosing and water pump inlet sizes. The water pump inlet is 1-3/4". The thermostat housing is 1-1/2"...
I didn't really work on the car itself. I measured the water pump, thermostat housing and radiator inlets and outlets to do radiator hose research.
Seems GM switched the radiator inlet size in 1980 from 1-1/2" to 1-1/4". It also seems most aftermarket radiators are 1-1/2" inlet and outlet. The...
Guys, I don't get the problem. The stock lower hose is 1-1/2" on the radiator and 1-3/4" on the pump. Any direct fit replacement hose should work.

Are they solid roller lifters? All solid lifters are noisier than hydraulic flat tappets. I have also heard of complaints about Morel Hydros ticking, but no reports of them failing.
