I get asked a lot, so I figured I would just post in here to end the countless questions
Cartel Lacey's:
-17x4 w/2" BS 205/50r17 Douglas All-season. $58 a piece at walmart!
-15x9 w/4" BS 275/60r15 Car isn't notched. Just had the fender lip massaged with a baseball bat.
Yes, they were...
I'm sure you guru's who have dabbled in swapping g body parts will know, do GP door panels fit a malibu? I didn't know if all g body's carried a standard size on the door panels. Wanting a set of the GP door panels with the arm rest pulls, didn't know if they would fit the malibu door.
Thanks!
Any particular reason you want to go with the aluminum dash? There are a few companies making fiberglass dashes now. Heads up composites has this one for $300, if you're still set on aluminum I'm sure someone will chime in with some pictures and sizes!
If that were true all X275 racers would run on an 8" wheel, I wasn't asking your opinion nor did you provide helpful information. I'm well aware of the effects of stretching a tire, my original question was can you put a 10" wheel under a stock Malibu.
80 Malibu- GN 8.5, stock wheel well, no notch. What Backspacing for a 15x10? I will be running a 235/60/15, I doubt that a 275/60 will tuck. I'm sure most would say to just notch frame, but I would rather not. From what I've read so far somewhere around a 4.5"-5" BS? Thanks for any input!
I read somewhere that gbodyparts.com has developed a few prototypes for an in dash version for Vintage Air. They were only for Regals right now, but did completely remove the air box, they just had what looks like a block off plate with a few hoses for the compressor, etc.
They say they're close...
I agree with all of this except I want to shave my drip rail. I like the look without it, as far as door handles? I never did care for shaved handles, maybe recessed handles like a 4th gen camaro. (Flush with door) Also agree with tommy, just want the bumpers narrowed about 1.5"-2" on both sides.
Hey Doob, if you don't mind me asking, did you have to run a spacer or anything on the back? The rear is tucked about like I want mine, but it's hard to find any info on whether a 9-9.5" wheel will fit in the back. I don't want to notch my rear frame rails, and seems everyone running a wheel...
I'm going one of two directions with my 80 Malibu.
1. 17x6 on front/17x8 on rear most likely go with forge line wheels. I know those will fit, so no issue there.
2. Here's my question: I want to know if anyone has squeezed a 15x10" wheel on the back? I want to stretch an 8.5" tire over which...
I believe this is Scott Smith's Malibu, the drag radial car that ran Drag Week. I love his chin spoiler, but I personally don't like the tucked bumper. Pretty sure this is the TRZ bumper, question is, does TRZ just make the chin spoiler that bolts underneath a bumper? I'm not much on the...
Appreciate the measurements, just checked mine, 53" wide and 19-20" inches front to back depending where you start. So, I guess the F body rear seats are a negative. lame_sign.gif
Getting them widened would be outrageous I bet.

There any way you can get those measurements? I've had the same idea as doober for a year or so. I'm thinking camaro front buckets and rear seat, with stock g body console. Not sure what I'd do about that gap, but I could come up with a tasteful looking console.
Hey guys, I'm wanting to buy a bolt on 4" cowl hood. But a Harwood is upwards of $550, and that's a bit high, any body know of a company that's cheaper, and the hood isn't junk? I want it to fit decent, not look horrible.
Any input is appreciated.
