    brake bleeder kit...

looking for a kit to allow me to bleed the brakes by myself. no help around here. been looking at summit, they have several, but just looking for something simple, not looking to make a living doing this, so looked at a brake bleeder hose (otc tools 4599) for 9.97$ and a motive products 0101...

    whats the deal???

started working on the front brakes, pulled the caliper and rotor and noticed the rotor has some sort of gasket/seal on the back side, which holds in the bearings, among other things. can these seals be replaced or do you have to buy all new rotors? and yes, I am quite dense when working on...

    11" rotor...

I am looking at the wilwood calipers, p/n 120-8924 and 120-8926, which claim to be a direct replacement for the metric cars but also state that they use an 11" min rotor. I have contacted wilwood but they have not gotten back to me so I was wondering if an "F" body might have an 11" rotor that...

    just another relay question...

Tommy/Doob, I think I understand at least part of your explanation. I will use 85 as my switch/ground, power in to 86. I don't know if the relays I am using (tyco/bosch) have a diode but in any case, better to be safe than sorry. I still plan to use 87 as power in and 30 as power out to acc. it...

    just another relay question...

yeah, the 30 terminal is connected to the 87a, when not switched on for the acc, so as long as there is power to the relay, 87a is hot, which can be insulated but if power comes thru the 87 and out thru 30 then the 87a will be dead when switched off. probably not a big deal, just trying to make...

    just another relay question...

since I can not open the pics on the relay post, I am forced to ask yet another boring question. I have tried to look at every aspect of the use of relays and have come up with an observation on the orientation of the way to wire up the five terminal relay. 30, 85, 86, 87 and 87a. the way I see...

    what's this wire for?

was looking thru the wiring schematics today and noticed that some are repeats, rear grounds and rear lights, I think, anyway I have a pink or possibly purple that has faded, in the rear wiring, and do not know what it is for. as I am building a bare bones harness, for a race car, I am going to...

    which is better...

circuit breaker or fuse. it seems so obvious that the breaker would be better but they are not used in new cars and they don't seem to get rave reviews on any rebuilds. was just wondering, thanks for any input...wannabe

    circuit breaker question...

getting ready to do some wiring and been looking at, wiring products.com. they have all the stuff you would need but don't know about their prices. don't really want to use the low end wire so guess I will have to bite the bullet and pay up. now to the question, they have big amp circuit...

How to Wire a Remote Solenoid

getting ready to give this a try, but first, since I am hillbilly simple, I want to make sure I am on the same page as you folks. the pink wire at the top of the drawing, orig attached to the bat terminal on the factory starter solenoid, was just to power accessories? and the small brown wire...

    line lock install

I don't fully understand the purpose of a combo valve, other than it regulates the braking system in some manner. I thought it was to balance the front/rear braking so that the back end did not try to pass the front end, by locking up first, or something like that. I assume you can purchase a...

    line lock install

Tommy, are you referring to having (2) master cylinders or one master with two outlets, as I have actually seen pictures of "old" masters with a single line. Anyway, I am using a single master and an adjustable proportioning valve from summit. My plan was to run a line from the master, to the...

    digital multimeter...

getting ready to do some wiring and I need a multimeter to help sort some things out. some of the meters I have looked at have a 10a max amp dc/ac measure capability, which might not help with a 15-20 amp fan connection. anyone have any suggestions on brand, price, where to buy? thx...wannabe
