I have a friend with a World class T5 from an IROC that he wants to sell. It's been rebuilt with no miles on it. I can get more info if you want. I have a few cases somewhere too. I think they were V6 models.
Someone told me about a similar thread over on the Monte Carlo site. I checked it out and we both had the same idea. To give jman093 credit, I went back and used his pics to help locate the placement of the Tan splice. That wire that should control the unlock on the first button press but I...
I don't see why it wouldn't work with any actuator as long as it is controlled by a relay. The module can't handle the high current directly except on the tan wire.

Here you go. I tried to make it logical and simple. I have over 20 years of GM techincal experience so some of the simple things I may have overlooked. Enjoy!
After driving my newer cars, one of the things I miss most on the Malibu is RKE (Remote Keyless Entry). Since my Malibu has power locks and trunk release, I decided it was going to get RKE. I looked at several aftermarket kits but after many years in the dealership, I grew to despise them...
Did you ever figure out the S10 rear brakes? I want to upgrade my Malibu with a factory style. If the S10 works, they are easier to find around here. If not, I can try the F body rear disc.
My car had the factory 4 speed and was modified for the M21 also. They basically made the metal opening longer from front to back and made a filler panel. It allowed the use of the factory plastic trim. I took it all out when I went with the T56.
In the past, I backed all my suspension mount nuts off some. Not loose, just not pinching the bushings completely. They are all lock nuts (or should be) so they shouldn't back off. It did allow to the car to react quicker. It was a street car and drove it for years like that. Most people...
You need a chain for the roller cam if you plan to use the factory front cam retainer. The big gear is thinner to allow for the extra plate. Also, you will need an older metal timing cover to run a double chain. I'm fairly certain it won't fit under the plastic cover. With it being a 99, it...
I used the Speedway kit on my last Malibu. It was the one without the parking brakes (used front metric calipers). To make it work, I had to remove the rear line going into the proportioning valve and add an adjustable one. I kept making "panic" stops around the shop until it would lock the...
I thought I had decided on the gauges I was going to use. Well... I had it narrowed down considerably anyway. I saw a Dakota Digital set of gauges on Mikes Montes but I really didn't like the digital only ones. I figured, what the heck, I'll see what the DD site has. Dangit, now I want these...
I have a 74 Chevelle and as I remember the upper mounts are a lot wider and rotated even more than the earlier models. I dont think I have seen swap arms for the 73-77 body rears into a G body.
My experience with external pumps is they are always noisy and usually run hotter than internal pumps. If you have an internal pump now, go with the walbro replacemnet/upgrade. They make great stuff.
