    narrowed rear on stock suspension cars.

    My 9" is "narrowed" a little bit, but just to get the tires right where I wanted them. You can't go too much because you run out of room with the brakes/lower control arm. If you were gonna relocate the lower mounts, you might as well 4-link or ladder bar it.

    Back half kits?

    I did a 2x3 Art Morrison 4-link Backhalf on my old Malibu. Was real nice. Went in easy. Nice, wrinkle free bends in the 2x3. I bought it already welded up, then installed from there. If I was going to backhalf another, I'd do a round tube.

    If they won't sit in the water, usually there's a preload issue that needs addressed. When you start your burnout, do it like you mean it and get it up on the tire too

    Drilling/tapping for screw-in studs...

    I don't deal with stock heads, but I'm pretty sure they machine that boss down a little bit when they set them up for screw in studs at the machine shop. I'd be taking them to a machine shop.

    transbrake problem

    TH350 with a brake? You'll be old and gray before that thing works consistently on the starting line. I stage at idle, set the brake and it don't rock a bit. I got a Powerglide though.
