I have similar set up. As far the drag strip goes, the trans shifts to second on its own at 5000. Also 2-3 same thing, you won’t need 4th. Great for cruising though.

My series 78 Delco 600 cca has been acting up last year or so . Took it in to have
it checked out and came home with an Interstate with 1000 cca, man my car
has never started this good!
Bonus was my horns work now too!
Reinstalled better front bumper off a low milage '81
New bumper brackets by TNT
New J nuts & push fasteners from Motor City Fastener
Eliminated center reinforcement & 8 screw asms & 2 bolts from original bumper brkts
Cleaned up all bolts and painted chassis black
Blasted remaining bumper...
Finished putting my rear seat and trim back on after repairing my seat belt tension
release mechanisms. Also relpaced Left hand front turn signal lens which was cracked.
left to do/wish list.... move battery to rear (stock gas tank making this difficult). Also high stall convertor
and front drag...
So it looks like you guys went down through the trunk and along the frame rail which is what I was thinking instead of inside the car and through the dash area under the HVAC area. I already have the Furd remote starter solenoid mounted in the rh inr fender near the stock battery.
Looking for pics & ideas. I have my rear seat & sill plates out out and thought this would be a good time to run the cables forward...or is it better to run them underneath the car?
Phil, do those after market ones have a tension relief like the stock ones? Also do they hang well from the upper anchor? (see your driver side photo) . Mine have been acting up for some time and my drivers side stop working over the weekend...
Terry.
Ok all new hoses...nozzles open....new cap on tank....still weak spray. Anybody with a working pump, the 2 plug connector which color wire is up?I'm thinking I may have this plug reversed.
