It's been a long time but as I recall there is a wire loom that comes from the drivers side firewall and runs behind the engine to the passengers side, somewhere around the passengers valve cover there is a connector (4 or 5 wires iirc) there is a large gauge (10-12) red (I think) wire in the...
kinda makes me a little sick to think that about 15 years ago I took a scotchbrite to a pair of brand new fresh outta the box NOS bezels that I bought from the GM dealer back in '92 for (iirc) about $25 each.....
I'm not sure who told you that they disco'd DX685 but they didn't according to the local PPG distributor I asked today. He said it was talked about for a while until they realized that SU4985 matting agent introduces a color shade difference in most formulas. There were 2 new quarts and one on...
We had a thread about this a while (years?) back and it seemed to be a common issue with the '80 models.....I own two of them (both '80) and have had a '78 and '79 in the past. Both '80s do it and the others didn't....this coupled with the fact that I also did the whole windshield trim/door...
I already had the old style weather-pac crimp tool that worked for the seals (used to work at a GM dealer) I bought the crimp tool for the new style connectors and the seals and connectors from way-tek also....kinda sucked because they were in a bulk pack....so I've get a few extra lol...the...
I bought a mini block by Bussman from Waytek wire....it has space for 5 mini relays and 10 fuses. I'm running a relay for fuel pump, hi-beams, lo-beams, and one for each fan....with a fuse for each and 5 extra fuse slots for future use. I'm just using a GM fan switch for a '92 Camaro in the Dr...
Tommy I spent more hours trying to make slip tubes not leak and driving in a such a manner that I wouldn't drag those expensive swap headers that I did have on the car than the amount of time I spent modifying these ;)
and I currently have less in my coated 2455's than I spent on the uncoated...
That's odd that you had interference on the drivers side....then again I had already trimmed the lower control arm mounts back a bit from an earlier header escapade
looks good though, I see you flattened tube 6 out a little to keep it from rubbing the frame.....mine just barely touches there too
I'm not even looking for a whole one....I had two complete rifles and then ordered 2 more lowers the day before elections....one was for my son for xmas and the other I wanted to build a dedicated .22 gun out of. I bought everything to finish my lower out and even bought two black dog .22 mags...
I can say that yes it's lower than stock but I have no idea by how much....I trimmed a set of S10 coils for the front and am using a set of global west f-body rear coils.
