Has anyone used the front dist.drive timing cover on an ls motor?no computer or coil packs,or the standard rotation waterpump by wegner automotive,This would save buying another radiator. A ls swap is looking better and better to me.Also the timing cover allows you to run a mech. fuel pump too.

What kind of torque /HP can a factory 6L80E trans handle?

I have a 79 coupe with 275x60-15 ,I have found any more tan 4"bs causes tires to rub inside frame,and to set mine down low required fender lips to be rolled.

Jumped mine,fired right up,amazed,hasnt ran in almost 3 months,and we had lots of -10 degree days,block did not crack!

Looked mine over and crossed my fingers that block did not freeze and crack! Winterized with 3 gals. anti-freeze but been well below zero more than a few times this winter,and gonna be -8 again Friday.

You cant,if you do water pump will deadhead against closed thermostat and burn up your waterpump,you can run a a thermo sending unit to keep pump from running below 160,which I have,but have not installed yet.My pump does not cavitate with large restricter plate at all.so don't see benefit of a...
