I'll have some pics up as I do the swap to help people out, but it has been below freezing here and no heat in the garage so I'm not in a hurry to start tearing things apart.
Jess
there are also some vent block offs for the two vents on the outside ends of the dash. You don't really need them but those vents no longer have duck work to them with a heat only set up.

I'd like to know the same thing! I have 255s right now and they are fine, but I haven't dropped the back. I put 2" drop spindles in the front and now I can only run a 235 or 225 :?

I have to say I love what Jack did, and I've droolled over the pics for a while. If you don't want to cut the bumpers you can just collapse the bumper shocks and remove the filler pieces. Then push the bumpers up and in towards the body, that is what I did with my El Camino. I didn't feel up...
Well I was able to order the hoses at the parts store, pretty easy the guy knew what I was looking for (doesn't seem to happen often enough).
I was looking at the car tonight and I started to think I may add a line lock and adjustable prop valve as long as I have all the brake lines pulled...
THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!
I was thinking I was going to thread the rod, I may take a look at the Astro pump. The yard hit me with an environmental fee the other day doubled all my prices, I'm not sure what was environmental about me disposing of their crap for them?
anyways I'll talk to the...
Well I haven't seen too much about the hydroboost systems online and I figured whatever I find out could help someone else with their swap! I'm going to be upgrading the front and rear brakes to 12" discs in the near future so I wanted to redo my braking system so it could make the most of the...
I don't have a picture but my wiring just all goes through the hole in the firewall, then some goes to the front of the car for the lights, and the other bundle goes across the firewall behind the engine to the battery and starter and other things. The wiring for the dash just goes up into the...
I used a fuse block that came with 20 circuits and a ton of wiring. I got it off of ebay about 5 years ago and it worked great. All the wires have the circuit label printed onto them every foot or so. I want to say it was called EZ2Wire or something, whatever it was the cost was great. I...
Nothing in a G-body from the factory had a speaker there. You can buy aftermarket kick panels that are designed to have a speaker there, they do however stick out a ways and your parking brake pedal needs to be moved or bent. If you know how you can fiberglass your own. I have made two sets...
The Monte SS had one and it was 2.5 turns lock to lock or less. I've had one in my car and it worked great, and really made the steering feel better. I'm not sure what you'd have to do to get one, around here the parts stores can't figure out which one to order anymore so I am back to using a...
If you have any patience and some experience with fiberglass you can make one of these for less than $50 and use a hole saw to cut out the gauge holes. I did mine a long time ago (before you could buy these) and I don't have a pic of it handy but I spent $50 on materials and used a round gauge...
I got my 6.0 complete because it was cheap. The advantage is that it is all there. In my case I'm going to swap the heads and intake and exhaust (amongst other things) I know I didn't want what it came with but I took it all because it wasn't expensive and I can maybe sell the parts I don't...
I have them on my car, the little plastic gasket that goes between them and the body are different than the ones on the Camaro. I believe that they can be forced to work though. The holes for them are in a completely different spot so they do require some body work to fill the old holes.
Jess
I swapped my 78 column with a 79 and had to replace the intermediate shaft as well as the steering box...if things don't want to bolt right up be aware this might be a problem.
Jess
:P The Camaro seats look like this, I've got a set in my el camino (and in my camaro)
I think they look really at home in the malibu interior. Not too racecar looking but not a longe chair either.
