I actually pulled it out of the garage and took her for a spin around the neighborhood. I bought a used Holley 3310-2 carb to replace the Demon that was not very friendly to drive. Bought a rebuild kit about 2 years ago and finally finished. I forgot what crisp throttle response was all about...
after putting 600 miles on the car in the last two years I decided it was time to fix the small persistent oil leaks. Changed the pan gasket, valve cover gaskets, fuel pump block off and oil sending unit. Once everything was back together I kept seeing a small leak coming from the timing cover...
I used the SEM texture coating on my rear panels as well. When it sprayed correct, they looked good but I couldnt get an even texture across the entire panel. I ened up just sanding them down and sprayed with color.
I cant post pics, but I used a relay setup off a s10, and a marine fuse block mounted just behind the battery (stock location).
I have the relays mounted on the pass side fender above the wheel well. I liked this location as you can run the wiring in loom along the fender well to clean it up.
you have to take out the interior trim and remove the brackets that hold them in. Mine fell out once the brackets were removed but you might have to cut out the sealant
My transmission was rebuilt just before I took my car apart for the restoration about 7 years ago. Back then it had a nice firm shift, but now when under power, it has a lazy shift between all the gears. Since I've been driving the car over the last year I've put about 250 miles on it and it still has...
Don't know about the SEM primer, but I did the same thing on my panels that are below the qtr windows and next to the seats. I used the same high build primer that I used on the body, just added the flex agent for plastics. After sanding smooth I used the SEM texture coating then primed and...
I've never used the POR15, but did by some floorpans that were coated with it. As stated earlier when I scrapped it off there was rust below it. When I did my frame, I cleaned all the old material off, scuffed it up, used self etching primer then Sherwinn Williams commercial chasis coat with...
I didnt use the SEM on the seats, but did use Duplicolor Vinyl paint. It actually works, changed my tan seats to grey until I can afford to reupholster
it attaches to the roof support going across. Make sure you use really short screws so they dont touch the actual roof when screwed in, from the factoy they used little studs that screwed in then used those one way clips to hold the base up.
