If its a factory GN tank, assuming its not some rotted POS, aside from maybe cleaning it up and painting if you want just install it when your ready for it. I assume your moving to efi and thats why you got it.

I know Ive seen it before but cant remember where and I cant seem to find it. I know to fit an LS1 pan in a gbody the frame has to be notched, I would like to know if anybody actually measured what they cut off, and if anybody thinks it might weaken the already almost 40yr old frame at all?

I don't think it's the harness they were referring to it's the ECU. Those might use an immobilized key. So you need someone who can get into the ECM and disable that function.

So for anybody Interested in knowing so far I believe the ecu from an ls1 cant be used for my set up. Not only is one a 24 tooth and the other a 58 tooth but the voltage for the crank sensor is different and there is no flash that can correct that. Im sure there is something out there that can...

Yes. I want to learn. I also want to figure out what I need and put together a parts list. That way I can pick at it over the next few months and when I have everything I need I can start the project.
