once again I forgot to mention my latest update. been a few days now but latest thing was putting a winch on my trailer so when I need to put a non running car on it, it will be easier.

last night, took out the old steering box and pitman arm. found out the rag joint is riveted in so that will wait till the weekend. then I can put in the new manual steering box from borgeson. did have to go buy a freakin whopper of a socket in order to put the pitman arm back on. 1 5/16 or 33mm...

ooh forgot to mention ordered a new package tray (alum) from scott rod fab) should be here early next week.

took out the radiator and associated hoses, inner fender wells, overflow bottle and removed the power steering pump. next up is to hopefully swap steering box for a manual unit. than onward to eng/trans removal

well wasn't really a fun weekend, pulled out the drive shaft, and removed all of the exhaust. getting ready to pull engine and trans. last night ordered the new crossmember. Prev owner did the flex pipe under the cross member exhaust trick.

thanks, I can't wait till the day when I can start it. LOL might be a while though.

the next weekend was spent putting seats in. welder wanted everything in for locations before we did the roll bar.

well I have missed a few posts so a bit ago I did the fuel cell and battery box. nothing wired up yet, just getting the locations.

thanks, really happy with SRF. the part fits perfect and was shipped very fast and well packaged. also got a radio/heater delete panel but haven't put that one in yet.

do I need to swap my cross member to go to a TH400 if I currently have a 200R4 with dual exhaust? everything I see seems to imply I can run what I have. forgot to add car is a 1985 Monte Carlo SS, currently has a 1973 350 with 200R4 trans

I appreciate the tip but, I am never using G Body parts again. finally got an email stating my brackets would be arriving soon, that was after I had the brackets. responded to their email telling them the issues. they said new brackets would be sent along with a return label for the other ones...

well seat brackets arrived last night. paid for 4-6 day shipping, took 4 weeks. no communication from them at all while waiting. one of the four brackets is improperly drilled. (this I could fix on my own) the other problem is I ordered 17" brackets and received 18". might have to see if...
