I've been going through some different sites looking at coolers. I found a oil adapter sandwich that runs a -10an line and looks like it'll flow nice. Thats $100. I'm thinking about using socketless line, just to try it out, since i've heard it works nice. I am not sure if tech will pass...
I posted this in the poweradders forum because my oil cooks when I run my supercharger.
The motor is a BBC 1/2 filled.
I probably can get 20 minutes of regular driving in before the oil temp is 260, the oil goes up fast when i'm moving, when I stop the temps seem to stay steady.
I was on...
i'm going with a eaton detroit locker with my current 31 spline axles.
When i can save up some more $$
i'll get the 3.25 case, the 35spline locker and 35 spline strange axles.
the axles are different lengths.
I just figured if currie makes g body rear ends to copy the stock look they'd have a certain axle length. I didn't know they would vary that much. I am tired of using the telephone and email with these folks, i'm going strange or moser next time.
What is the standard axle lengths for g bodies??
I emailed currie and did not get a response yet, so i figured this would be the place to ask the question.
I dont think it'll change from a 7.5'' rear to a 9'' because it has to do with the width.
Thanks
my car goes to car shows, downtown and to the track. I dont daily drive it, so im' thinking a spool may be the way to go. $$ is a problem right now big time.
My case needs to have at least a 3.250 bore to allow a 35 spline spool in her.
I emailed currie and i'm hoping they say it should work, but we'll see. They dont like to tell me any tech information whenever i ask them, I'm not sure why.
so i should go with a 35spline setup. Everyone is telling me to do so.
Other then the spool itself what else would i have to change to allow 35 spline axles to fit?
I'm just worried about the street, but i dont drive the car that often anyhow.
my auburn unit must of burnt out because only 1 tire spins now.
I'm looking into either a detroit locker or a spool.
Someone said the locker acts just like a spool so i should just get it, but another fella said the locker acts fine on the street vs's a spool.
On yellowbullet they stated you...
Well the brakes worked tonight when i took it out. I think some crap was on the rotors. I rode the brake for a little bit. It ended up working after a bit of driving, so now i have to adjust the rear brakes because they were locking up a bit. :) woohoo

I have a hard pedal, but the car is very difficult to stop. What is the problem?
A: Common contributors to "hard pedal, won't stop" issues are an oversized master cylinder bore and/or inadequate pedal lever ratio. Another contributing factor is the “aggressiveness” of the...
air still in the line wouldn't cause this would it?
I'm just wondering why the rear brakes weren't locking up when I gave them more pressure.
Also on the prop valve, i put the front lines in the opposite places, just because the lines were already bent for the stock prop valve in those...
