They don't, I have the same setup on mine basically (4" bs but rear is 1/2" narrower per side. Frame is notched and wheel wells are re-shaped with a bfh and it is tight with the old 275 mickey radials on an 8" rim. I do have about 3/4" of the lips left so i can run the wheel well trim. Have...
If you use poly the uppers will go easier. You can press the outer shells into the arms and then put the cross shafts in. Still will be a pain getting the old ones out. Easiest way I have found is drilling the rubber out.
Put del-a-lums in my arms and bent the first tool I made. New one...
trz bar thats been partially installed probably a year now #-o Still have to get the car at ride height set pinion angle and put the tabs on the housing. also has a ta cover and da lcas on it now.
It doesn't have 525 on it anywhere that I am aware of. Easiest way to tell is the 3 bolts holding the aluminum cover up top. It's the standard box gm used in the 60's-70's. There are a few variations with shorter shafts that would work if you made your own intermediate shaft but the longer...
mines from a 72 so all 68-72 should work. The 525 boxes came in a lot of different cars so with some research it may not be to difficult to find. I've seen them in some older jeeps as well but don't know if those are the same.
I had a similar problem and have measured both th350 crossmembers and the 2004r crossmember. both where the bottom of the rubber mount sits for the trans is the same level as where the crossmember bolts to the frame. the 200 mount is roughly 6" farther back than the th350 and the mount is at...
are you sure it's not 4" backspace? 4" is the standard backspace for 15x8 gm rallys. If it is 4" in the rear 275/60 should fit but it really depends on ride height
you can get them off of mustangs with the 8.8's. You still need a sleeve like the ones above. The mustang ones have a tang you have to drill a hole for but then you can tighten them down without the shocks in and they are at the right angle. bad picture of them but it's all I have.
I'd just use the factory harness and pull out everything you dont need. Pull the terminals out at the fuse box and then if you need to add anything later there is room. No need to reinvent the wheel. You can still get most of the terminals from gm but you need the right crimper also.
