The twist actually come from the right rear of the axle lifting and that section of the car laying onto the lifting axle. It isn't what you think. The power isn't pulling the front of the car up twisting the frame. It's the rear of the car causing the crooked launch.
I run a solid roller that's a billet core but has a cast gear pressed onto it. I run a melonized gear on the distributor and I've got about 2000 miles on it with zero wear. Use a good lifter and you will be fine. I run crower lifters and it's a big cost but worth it. I replace them every other...
Re: Manual brakes with pictures
heres the bracket my buddy made me that holds a strange 1.032 master at the right hieght to line up with the upper pedal hole...works great

that upper hole yields a 5.5:1 ratio. depending on the master it is correct. for a 1 1/8 strange master a 6.5:1 is needed but for a 1.032 it is correct.

Wow...that is ridiculous! you could have gotten a wilwood 4 piston setup for less than that.. with drilled and slotted rotors and about 20 pounds lighter than that. Mean 78's total is more of a reasonable amount for a low budget upgrade. Good job bro.

I use a moroso 4 vane enhanced pump system. The reasons i run one is more for better sealing and to keep any oil out of the chamber. I didnt see anygains out of the system but it keeps everything leak free.
