12 Bolt Axles

Racing season here has ended so it's time to rip the motor down and inspect it along with the rest of the car.

My question is when should I replace the stock axles in my 12 bolt rear?

I am already running a spool and c-clip eliminators.

The car weighs 3600 lbs with driver

I launch at 3600 on the t-brake and 1.53 60 foot times

When they twist more than 1 or 2 splines, if you want to wait.
Keep in mind that aftermarket axles are required at 10.99 or quicker.

Yeah I know I need axles after 10.99.

If the budget is ok after checking over the motor I was planning on upgrading them.

I was just curious if I was putting them to thier limit or not.

As long as you are footbraking, they'll probably last a while.
You just don't want one breaking outboard of the bearing, and factory axles are weak out there.
