I have a friend parting out an elcamino. I'm want the 200r4. I'm sure if I grab the Trans and cross member that'll work but what about the drive shaft. Will the drive shaft work from an elcamino to a Malibu? And is there anything else other than the shifter I'll should take for the swap?

May need an aftermarket extention for the crossmember. If the wheelbase is the same it should work for the drive shaft.
Ok thanks guys that's what I needed to know. So basically don't take the driveshaft just get a yoke and have mine cut to fit. Thanks.
If you have the El Camino driveshaft shortened it will work. Depending on power you are making. May want to have a stronger one made. Cut and balance is usually about 100. So if you need a bigger driveshaft that 100 could go to the better driveshaft.
Thanks. I have a 350 with a cam. Nothing to crazy. Ill probably play it safe and do new ujoints but i think itll be fine. Later on when and if I modify it more then Ill revisit the drive shaft again. Ive been there though broken drive shaft ona hard launch. lol not fun
Your stock malibu drivesahft will work. Th350 and 200r4 trans are the same length.
Your wild card is the frame extention. Most likely you will need one. It goes on the drivers side.

Malibuguy is correct. The 200r4 and th400 share the same transmission mount location. However the driveshaft length required is different for the th400.
