back up lamps and wiring

80 Malibu : there's no plug to be found for the coloum switch. and I'm trying to wire my floor shifter to have back up lamps. So far I have wire from fuse box to switch on shifter and back to coloum area. what color wire and where should I tap in? not finding plug in for original switch. not sure what other choice I have. can anyone help? I just want to see whats behind me!
Is that to much to ask for?

ok
I might be dumb but I ant stupid!
went back and began looking again found a plug with 2 wires that I thought went to an old dash speaker and had tucked it back out of site. well guess what! it wasn't. I now have back up lights for the first time in 13 years of owning and building on this car. yaaaaaa !!!
now that I'm a wiring expert! who would like some advice?

I was gonna say there's a 2-prong plug under there with a blue and green wire
