BBC Header Options

I'm looking for Stainless full length headers for bbc in a 79 malibu.
Question #1 - Are these available that fit well?
Question #2 - If not, what are the best fitting full lenght headers on the market for street applications?
Question #3 - Are they ceramic coated and how does the finish hold up?

If they're stainless, you won't need any type of coating. I don't know of any full length "street" SS BBC headers for G-bodies. It's most likely going to be a custom order. That being said, the Hooker 2241's are the best fit. You can get them coated, but the Hooker coating is junk. Get them bare & send them to one of the reputable coating companies. Nitro Plate is VERY well regarded.

Try the original Dougs headers. They are full length, tuned headers, used them on all four of my bbc Malibu's. Cutting to lower control arm mounts on both sides and thats it. Plus they don't look like an octipuss under the hood on drivers side. Part # d313'S.

First thing, thanks for the info so far. The pics help out a lot, and I agree that a clean look without an octopus. Are them short valve covers with a heater box? I'd like to put the AC box on mine. Is there a part number for the Doug's?

Looks like a lot of varience in the length of the primaries in those pictures.

The D313s are a generic passenger car application. They are full length, but not tuned. Doug's also makes a header for G-bodies, #D318.

D330s are for small block. I believe the OP needs headers for big block.
