For bracket racing I have heard that Turbo's and nitrous are not consistant. Why is this? Is a Centrifugal Supercharger good for bracket racing?

you can't beat the off the throttle response from a pro or superchager. but there are guys out there that have a really well tuned turbo or bottle car.

small doses of bottle are great for bracket racing due to your creating your own enviroment. ( no weather variation)

50 to 100. you really don't want to load the coals to it due to traction/ converter issues that can arise as well as tuning required between rounds but a small shot will make the engine on the back half of the track run more consistent. try hitting it off the line or about 1.5 seconds in to the run if on a transbrake. the engine will see major variations on the top end without no2 because of the amount of air it's eating. no2 will clean that up. we've done this before it was outlawed in supergas, we backed up 5 passes where the last 330' (1/8th mile racing) were within .001 of a second. it won't fix a ill performing bracket car but it will keep you up with the alc. motors.

nitrous is inconsistant becuase the bottle pressure goes down as u use the bottle,(950 is key here), turbo cars and superchargers are based on rpms and boost, but the main inconsistency in a race car....get ready for it..... is u. we never race the same, no mater how many times we do the dance, everything changes and we have to adapt, weather, atmospheric pressure etc.to get real consistency, use a trans brake, fuel injection, and a pwer adder of ur choice, just have to have a log and moniter everything.
