i have an 81 malibu the brakes are in good shape backs have new drums and pads. i blead all the air out made sure the vac line was sealed. i have to push down very hard to stop and am not sure why. the cam is .465 .488 lift 282 292 duration 112ls. could it be the cam? the brakes work well after i have been driving for a while but once i use them once quickly they are almost useless for a while. anyone know?
