ok guys quick ?. i blew the engine in my bu 3.8 buick v6 231
and have the chance tooget another cheap
its vin code B 3.8 buick anyone know if its the same

The Malibu vin for the 231 was "1" IIRC, so may or may not be exactly the same. It will fit with no problem, as the block stayed the same. But, at some point Buick did change from semi-odd to even fire, and of couse from carb to EFI, balance shaft, etc. Would know more from what car the new engine is out of.
