Bumper chrome removal

Whats the best way to remove the chrome from the bumpers?

media blasting remove chrome . I did it to my malibu bumper cause I wanted them body color .

You can also take them to a chrome shop and have them chemically strip the chrome. This will take them completely down to bare metal.

It takes some time but cost is hardly nothing. I went to lowes and bought a 36 grit (flap paper thing) to fit my hand grinder. Hit it with that, Then used a da with 80 grit. then apply bmp primer. hope this helps... total cost like les than $10.00 for the sandin supplies.
