Last one I did I slathered the cam and lifters good with Comp break in lube, took the inner valve springs out as directed in the instructions, used Penzoil 20w50 with about a pint of Motorkote and a pint of STP with Zink DDP additive, then primed the engine with my drill operated prime tool then fired it up and ran it @ 2000 rpm for 45 minutes, I changed the oil after break in then after 500 miles, ran it about 2000 miles before I put the inner springs back in and it runs just fine, no issues, by the way it's a pretty lumpy Comp solid flat tappet cam, Also I do second the Brad Penn Racing oil with High Zinc, expensive but good stuff! Good Luck!! KillerDave
