I'm still trying to determine, for sure, that I can swap the manual transmission flywheel from my '79 200 onto an '83/'84 229. That article states the earlier V6s were internally balanced so I would expect so; but has anyone actually done it and lived to tell the tale? =D>

Then I wonder whether the 229's cam timing is much, if any, different from the 200 manual transmission cam. My 200 sure has respectable low-end torque, I'd hate to find my 229 is optimized to make its low-end torque well above 1000 instead of below, where my 200 seems to excel.
