I have a 79 Malibu and an 86 Monte console. Does anyone have pictures or links to pictures of where the mounts for the console go? This was a bench seat car so I have no idea. A picture or two will make it a lot easier so any help would sure be appreciated!

The best I can do for you is this pic...floor was taken from a mid 80s Cutlass. I believe the Malibu may use a slightly different front mount bracket. The others should be pretty close. Hope this helps some.
Just so you know the console mounts are not neccessary to install the console.
It will sit there fine between the buckets seats without any problems.

Thanks that is exactly what I needed! All the carpet is out to add bucket seat mounts I so I may as well weld in the mounts for the console. Thank you again Mr Showtime!!
Manual trans and auto had different console mounting locations. I assume you have auto trans but I just thought Id throw it out there incase anyone was wondering.
The manual trans had 1 mount the same and another special bracket because there is no shifter to mount to.
