Really? I took my 3.8 out and put a 350 and a TH-350 in and the crossmember matched right up. Is it the doglegged one or straight across?

You might check the location of the motor mounts. I noticed that they can be bolted in in a couple of places on the crossmember. What type of transmission did you put back in?

Yeah, the crossmember should be the same.

3.8 Buick, or Chevy 229? They're both listed as a 3.8. Either way, I can't see how it makes a difference as IIRC, the driveshafts should be the same length for all G bodies.

Did the Buick motor have the same bolt pattern? I'm using the same bellhousing in the Malibu currently with an SBC shrug.gif

Then you have a Chevy 229. There are some bellhousings that are setup for both Chevy & BOP patterns, but I'm 99% sure they didn't come on the 229s.
