Driveshaft sizes???'s

What is the size of a factory driveshaft in G-body cars in diameter(inches round) and will a 4 inch diameter drivshaft fit?THANKS

Stock is a little wimpy thing like 2 1/2" diameter or so,I looked out in the garage but I musta got rid of them all,I had a 3 1/2" xhaft made that fits fine,I'd have to say a 4" wouldn't have any issues either,planning on some power? Tha cats that built mine said it ought to handle 750hp more or less! Later

I had a 4" driveshaft in the car. It will fit with careful placement of a driveshaft loop. It weighed a frickin' TON. Went to a 3" moly shaft, much better.

I run a 4" aluminum, fits fine. It's big for sure.

Hey Maxx,I had a local driveline shop build it and all it cost me was the parts as the company I work for does a lot of buisness with them,I would think normally it would be in the $200-250 range,Later
