engine hauling in the rain ????'s

I will have to pickup a used sbc 350 engine from the shipping company and it is wrapped in shrink wrap and the day I suppose to pick it up it is suppose to be heavy rains will it be ok to haul the engine on back of my pick up truck skrinked wrapped in the rain without the engine getting any water damage? THANKS

Sure. Just throw a tarp over it too (strapped down good) just in case.

Water can get into crazy places, including finding its way through shrink wrap. A tarp is good insurance, adding a moving blanket between the two makes it even better.

Put it in an engine storage bag and duct tape it shut?
