Can someone explain what the A, B, C etc. Pillars consist of...... Maybe a diagram or picture showing the interior panels (sail panel, package tray A pillar, B pillar etc. etc.) This gets confusing for a lot of people. thanks. Maybe add as a sticky in the Interior Tech section ?

The roof of your car is on posts from the body ( referred to as pillars ).
Lets use a typical gbody wagon for example;

The front posts on either side of your windshield are the A pillars
-The post that the rearmost portion of the drivers door latches to is the B pillar
-The post that the rearmost portion of the passenger door on the drivers side latches to is the C pillar
-The posts at the back of the car where the tailgate latches to is the D pillar

A 2 door Gbody Cutlass, Malibu, Monte ect... would only have an A,B & C pillar

A -1969 Camaro for example would only have A&B pillars as there is no post from the body line to the roof where the back of the door latches.
