Front Speakers Where to mount?

I have two 4" front speakers that are about 2 inches deep. I checked the kicker panels, it looks really close to where they would fit there unless i use some type of spacer to get them away from the metal. Any other play i could mount them that would work? Also i would like to keep from cutting into the dash.

Malibu? It may just have a center speaker in the dash (4x10), or outside speakers (3½"). The lower front of the door panel is a popular place too, just be sure to get a pair of those foam speaker protectors to keep water from running down onto the cone/voice coil area.
