Since I have an 8.5 from a '77 cutlass in my car, the rear suspension is much less than optimal. To fix this, I need to strip the LCA and shock mounts off and start from scratch. When it comes to the uppers though, Nothing can be modified, so I need to build the upper arms. Where is the best place to get materials to build the uppers from? Mainly, I'm looking for the threaded rod in the center of most of the uppers you see out there today.

Thanks. I know the UMI ones used rod, but didnt want to get stuck with junk that wouldn't hold up. Just thoughtthe rod might have been easier.
