headers

looking for opinions on swap headers.

i wanted a 1-7/8 primary and was looking at the brp ones. i see in some pictures they hang down very low....not sure what other options are out there.

i've seen the pacesetter ones are popular, but only come with a 1-3/4 primary

i want to lower the car, so i was trying to keep them as far up as possible. any ideas?

no one has any suggestions on header choices? I've only come across the brp ones so far.

Aren't 1 3/4" full length headers able to support around 600 hp? Unless you're making crazy power (naturally aspirated anyways), why use the 1 7/8? Those are HUGE! At my local track, I've seen guys N/A running low 11's with 1 3/4 headers....that's what I'm going to use (making only 500-525 hp though)...

LSx motors move a ton of air in and out, hence why they perform the way they do....Check ls1tech and you'll see this size is the norm on these motors...There not too big...I never dreamed of putting a 950 carb on this thing but so many people are nowadays I made the switch, gotta think outside the box with these ls motors there not comparible to the old smallblock...

mainly looking to see how low they hang down....the bottom of my pan is just about the bottom of the crossmember of the frame

so the headers are completely under the frame rails?

any idea what your ground clearance is like? i'm looking to lower the car and do more of a pro-touring style suspension
