Headlamp switch brackets

Ran across these tonight while consolidating some G body parts in storage.

I have seen this subject come up a few times, so I thought I'd post it up to illustrate the differences.

On top is the bracket for the sweep style speedo bezel #463413

Left lwr is for the 78-81 round gauge bezel with dash mounted wiper switch. GM used this through 1985 even after they moved the wiper switch #463414

Rt lwr is for the 1986-88 round gauge bezel with column mounted wiper switch #14086212

These apply to the Malibu, El Camino, and Monte Carlo

The 86-88 bracket is sturdier than the early one, not sure if there are clearance issues with an early bezel and late bracket...time will tell when i make the cluster swap.

There are metal aftermarket 78-81 round gauge brackets now. I forget who it was, but I was going to send my 78-81 sweep gauge bracket to a guy who was making them so he could copy it, but for some reason it never came to be. If he's out there and sees this, he can contact me if he still needs to borrow a good sample part to start with.
