How much lift will stock LS springs take?

I was wondering if anyone had an idea if I can run a 540 lift cam with stock springs?

I don't think so. If I'm remembering correctly, around .520 is when they are an issue. Depends on which LS springs they are though. Get a set of 918 springs or some Z06 springs.

Better yet, get on http://www.ls1tech.com and ask that question.

replace them there at there limits with the stock cam...
