Moog springs are fairly cheap.

If you really wanted to go cheap you could just start trimming your stock coils until you reach your desired ride height.

Or buy some Moogs with a 1.5 or 2 inch drop...throw them in and trim them aswell if they arent low enough. Mine is dropped about 5 full inches from stock height

is a 3 inch drop spring in back to much? i was looking to do a 3 inch drop in back and a 2 inch up front. ill be running 245/45/17's

just a street car, i like the pro touring look. but i cant afford coil overs.

You can't trim rear springs on a G-body. They have pigtails.

but are 3 inch lowering sprigs ok? would there be anything else ill need for going that low?

I have no direct experience with lowering a car that much so I may be 100% wrong, but I'm going to guess there's a small chance you might want/need a shock relocation kit. I don't want to steer you wrong and I'm sure the other guys here with more background in this area will let us know if I'm wrong.
