How strong is the 8.5 10 bolt

My car has a rear out of a GN and I was curious how stong they are and what kinda et have people ran on them?

With good axles, spool and tube ends or c-clip eliminators. They will run 9's. Also may want a good cover. There are a few guys on here that are big believers in them.

I run 10.50s with a 60' in the 1.40s with a 4.10 gear and 30" tall Mickey et street drag radial. It does have strange axles/spool/c-clip eliminators.

A rear-end is as strong as the parts you put into it.

i recently bought an 8.5 with a spool, axles, c-clip elims, axle-tube braces, disc brakes, and 4.10's. guy i bought it from was in the 9's with it, so i figure it will hold up just fine in my car.

i am going to get a good cover for it, just to have all the bases covered.

One more thing to consider is welding the tubes to the center section.
